New Stained Glass Design

With a particular love of glass painting, calligraphy and geometry, Charlotte has a unique style of stained glass design which often brings together these passions, combined with the themes of nature and pattern. Charlotte won Commended in the Stevens Competition for Architectural Glass Design in 2019 and has recently been developing her creative techniques such as glass fusing, acid-etching and gilding.

Examples of Charlotte’s new stained glass:

A traditional style of stained glass window made for a church in a national park north of Barcelona. A collaboration with Vitralls Can Pinyonaire in Girona.

The Water Sprite

I made a replica of the Water Sprite, one of my favourite stained glass panels, as an exemplar for an exhibition. The streaky glass and the reamy antique glass sparkle in natural light and the lead lines accentuate the Art Nouveau shapes, creating movement and balance.

My copy of the Water Sprite by W.G. Morton, c.1896. Glasgow Museums, People’s Palace Collection, Glasgow.
